The mind, with its thoughts, is driven by feelings. Each feeling is the cumulative derivative of many thousands of thoughts. Because most people throughout their lives repress, suppress, and try to escape from their feelings, the suppressed energy accumulates and seeks expression through psychosomatic distress, bodily disorders, emotional illnesses, and disordered behaviour in interpersonal relationships. The accumulated feelings block spiritual growth and awareness, as well as success in many areas of life.

~ David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD

Ever wonder why some people can eat, drink and behave in ways that current science deems harmful to health, yet thrive?

Others diligently follow the evidence-based dietary and lifestyle guidelines, but continue to struggle with health afflictions.

Having spent decades guiding people on their quest to optimal health, encouraging them to consume the “right” nutritional building blocks, engage in active daily living, avoid toxicants, develop good sleep habits and live life in alignment with their core values, I find this humbling.

Is the constant preoccupation with all kinds of preventative health measures, including health food fads, scouring labels for harmful ingredients, fear of smoke exhaust, dust, pollens and other environmental insults, hurting more than helping?

Could physical illnesses resolve automatically by letting go of the fear of bodily threats, concerns, stress and negative emotions?

In “Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender”, Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD, states that:

A surrendered person can eat anything or go anywhere and is no longer subject to fears of contaminants, pollutants, drafts, germs, electromagnetic frequencies, carpet, smoke dust, animal dander, poison ivy, pollen, or food dyes.

...As we begin letting go of all these fears, cancelling the belief systems and reaffirming that our true Self is Infinite and not subject to limitations, we move into a higher state of health, wellness, and vital energy...

By embracing higher frequency emotions like love and peace we become less vulnerable to health afflictions. We resonate at a higher vibration attracting health and well-being.

According to Dr. Hawkins, suppressed and repressed emotions along with stress-precipitating factors, are responsible for most emotional and physical illnesses.

As I sit here suffering with chills, a cough and cold symptoms, I realize I have more letting go to do.

In a calm state, after a storm of busyness, I become vulnerable to symptoms. The sudden decrease in cortisol, which in high doses can create a euphoric and anesthetic effect, reveals discomfort in my body.
